Postdoctoral Position at the University of Georgia, Athens
Postdoctoral fellow in epigenetic silencing and fatty acid metabolism
We are recruiting two outstanding, ambitious postdoctoral fellows to join the lab. One position will focus on investigating how chromatin accessibility impacts tumor-propagating cells in prostate cancer. For this position, a PhD in chromatin-related molecular biology and/or biochemistry is required. Research experience in epigenetics, chromatin biochemistry/genomics, biochemistry, will be considered distinct advantages.
The other position will focus on studying how lipid and/or fatty acid metabolism regulates activity of tyrosine kinases and their tumorigenic potential in prostate cancer. A PhD in biochemistry, or fatty acid/lipid metabolism is required for this position. Advanced experience in fatty acid metabolism and/or biochemistry will be considered distinct advantages.
Some background of my research can be found in the following publications:
Other experience in characterizing mouse models, multi-color flow cytometry, and lentiviral transduction would also be an advantage for both positions. Applicants should email his/her CV and the contact information of three references (including their present and previous mentors) to:
