Job Details
The Division of Cardiothoracic Research at Rhode Island Hospital and the Alpert Medical School of Brown University is seeking applications for a senior Postdoctoral Research Associate focused on cardiac and vascular cellular electrophysiology. A fully equipped patch clamp laboratory is available in a state-of-the-art facility with access to advanced core resources. (www.cvrc.brownmedicine.org)
Applicants will participate in a research program focused on basic cardiovascular electrophysiology, ion channel trafficking, and calcium dynamics. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in cellular electrophysiology (single and whole-cell ion channel recording via patch-clamp technique) in endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells and cardiac myocytes. Candidates must possess a PhD and/or MD degree and have relevant postdoctoral research training.
