What you´ll do
- The Product Development Engineer/Chemist uses scientific and engineering principles to develop innovative thermally conductive composites for eMobility and automotive electronics applications.
- Project tasks will include: Formulation work, DOE preparation and analysis, prototype development, material characterization, test method development, scale-up operations, sample preparation/packaging/shipment, and assistance with product maintenance.
- Work under functional or supervision of Senior R&D staff - actively contributing to and participating in projects managed by senior staff.
- Perform job function is a safe and professional manner.
- Maintains accurate and detailed records of data and processes.
- Participates in the Company Continuous Improvement Plan in the interest of self-improvement.
- The selected candidate will be expected to be working on site in the lab, unless they are traveling to visit a customer, a supplier or attending a technical event.
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Materials Science/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, from four-year college or university.
- Ideally one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with rheological, mechanical, and thermal test methods preferred.
- Able to work with light supervision on a defined project and manage multiple project activities. Plans daily and weekly activities related to assigned projects to meet deadlines.
- Able to set up experiments and perform standard characterization test ing on formulations.
- Able to collect, interpret and understand chemical, physical and mechanical data. Also able to make conclusions and make recommendations.

The salary for this role is $60,000.00 - $72,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
