- The changeover from plastic to paper-based packaging is big trend in packaging industry due to sustainability trend.
- Henkel wants to actively collaborate with brand owner to convertors to create new design solution. Henkel newly acquires Paper coating machine and Paper recycling test equipment at HAETC (Henkel Application
- Engineering Testing Center) located in No 17, BeiHe Road, Pudong Shanghai.
- Will provide innovative paper barrier coating solution and evaluate paper recyclability to proactively support our customers.
What you´ll do
- Accelerate growth by identifying new opportunities for paper coatings to existing and new customers.
- Consult customers on solutions generating value for their use cases and responsible for product recommendations, customized products applications, new product demonstrations and troubleshooting for customers.
- Responsible for directly communicating with Business development, sales, marketing, PD, Innovation, members of other country application engineer field team or project team members.
- Work as coating equipment expert to provide the best paper coating solutions to customers.
- Work closely with the Product development team to relay customer feedback and help in the development of new paper coating / modify existing products or formulations tailored to specific customer needs.
- Reporting of laboratory results and methods according to accepted standards and communicate to internal/external customers.
- Work with customers to develop sustainable paper packaging design, ensuring that paper coating meet the required performance specifications (e.g., high barrier performance, post packaging manufacturing process and paper recycling process).
- Offer expert advice on adhesive & coating selection, handling, storage, and processing to maximize efficiency, reliability, and quality.
What makes you a good fit
- BA/MS Degree in Polymer, Material and Chemical engineering, Chemistry or related discipline required.
- 5+ years of functional coating or paper industry preferred.
- Experience in paper coatings, industrial adhesives, paper converting, and/or packaging is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Ability to work independently, communicate with internal members and customers.
- Maintain organized records/reports.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and on an individual level.
