The Department of Biology at Susquehanna University invites applications for two Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology positions for the 2025-26 academic year, to start in August 2025. Teaching duties will include a subset of the following courses depending on candidate expertise: Introduction to Ecology, Community and Ecosystems Ecology, Biostatistics, introductory biology laboratories, an upper-level seminar in the candidate’s area of expertise, and non-majors biology courses. Application materials should indicate which of the above courses the candidate is qualified to teach.
A Ph.D. in a relevant topical area is required by August 2025. Demonstrated success or evidence of potential to excel in teaching undergraduates is required, as is evidence of a strong commitment to pedagogies that foster diversity and inclusion. Post-doctoral research experience is preferred but not required.
