Categories of Positions

04 ZJU100 Young Professor

Requirements

Applicants with a doctorate degree from a world-renowned university and a formal teaching or research position as assistant or associate professor (or an equivalent title) at an internationally prominent university; a top-notch talent among his or her peers, with the ability to independently establish and develop a research orientation and a potential to become an academic leader in his/her respective field.

Remuneration and Benefits

1.Remuneration

Successful applicants will be provided with competitive remuneration and housing subsidies; Eligible applicants with postdoctoral research experience will be provided with living allowance of 400,000 yuan from the Hangzhou Chengxi Sci-tech Innovation Corridor; Eligible applicants can apply for various talent fund projects supports, including the Qizhen Outstanding Young Scholars (600,000 yuan bonus) and the Xiaomi Young Scholars (500,000 yuan bonus).

2.Housing

Assistance will be given to find suitable housing, including the provision of a temporary apartment and the option to purchase welfare apartments.

3.Start-up Fund

Corresponding scientific research start-up funds will be provided according to the discipline.

4.Office and Laboratory Space

Competitive office and laboratory space will be provided.

5.Team Building

Qualified for doctoral students enrollment with support of the university and department/school; recruitment of postdoctoral fellows will be supported.

6.Service Guarantee

Assistance will be given to the school enrollment for children and finding a job for the spouse; assist in household registration, permanent residence permit applications for foreigners, etc.

05 Postdoctoral Researcher

Requirements

Applicants should be under the age of 35 with a doctorate degree obtained in recent years, excellent in personal qualities and academic performance, with good academic development potential and international vision, and able to work full-time at ZJU.

Remuneration and Benefits

1.Competitive Salary

The university collaborates with relevant governmental departments, preponderant disciplines, supervisors, and university-local authoritative cooperation platforms to build a postdoctoral funding system and operates a tiered funding system for university-employed postdoctoral researchers. The annual salary for outstanding postdoctoral candidates may reach over 400,000 yuan.

2.Guaranteed Living Benefits

Apartments with preferential rents and excellent living facilities are available; social insurance including endowment and medical insurance shall be covered; underage children of postdoctoral researchers are entitled to enter nurseries. Researchers who find jobs in Zhejiang after the postdoctoral program are entitled to local talent policies.

5.Clear Career Development

Postdoctoral researchers who meet the requirements shall be recommended to apply for the national young talent programs and enjoy the priority to the application of university's research fellowpositions after completing the postdoctoral program. Postdoctoral researchers are eligible to apply for senior professional titles following their entry into the program for more than 2 years.

6.Flexible Research Term

Postdoctoral researchers may negotiate with the recruiting department and supervisor to determine the contract period (2-4 years) within the scope of national policies according to the needs of the research project.

06 Research Fellow

Requirements

Applicants should be under the age of 38 with a doctorate degree obtained in recent years, excellent in personal qualities and academic performance, with good academic development potential and international vision, and able to work full-time at ZJU.

Remuneration and Benefits

1.Competitive Remuneration

The salary is determined by the employer according to the scientific research task through negotiation. The funds mainly come from the scientific research projects with complete social insurance provided by the university.

02After Submission

Candidates who pass the preliminary screening will be invited to attend a video interview or to visit Hangzhou for further discussions. The preliminary screening will be completed within 4 weeks after the application email is sent, and those who do not receive a reply within 6 weeks should be considered to have failed the preliminary screening.
