Assistant Professor of Forest Ecophysiology
The Department of Ecosystem Science and Management at The Pennsylvania State University seeks applications for an Assistant Professor of Forest Ecophysiology. This is a tenure-line position with a 60% research and 40% teaching appointment. The position comes with a competitive start-up package and salary based on 36-weeks of service annually, which can be supplemented with additional salary up to a total of 48 weeks from external funding.
The successful applicant is expected to develop an externally funded, high impact interdisciplinary research program on forest adaptation under global change. Teaching responsibilities will include one graduate and one undergraduate course in tree ecophysiology and one additional course that aligns with the candidate's expertise and department curricular needs.
Qualifications. Individuals must have a degree in forestry or related field (e.g. ecology, evolution, biology, natural resources management) with PhD degree requirements complete by the appointment date.
