Wayne State University

The Department of Pharmacology at the School of Medicine and the Department of Physical Therapy at Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Wayne State University are looking to recruit a tenure-track, assistant professor-level scientist to bridge the two departments and units. Specifically, we seek a talented researcher with an established record of successful exercise physiology and genetics research using animal models and willing to expand into collaborative research in geriatrics and genetics with human subjects. The successful candidate will join a highly dynamic and collegial academic setting and receive a competitive start-up package with generous laboratory space and access to state-of-the-art core facilities in an environment that supports multidisciplinary collaboration. The candidate will be expected to develop an innovative, externally funded research program, contribute to departmental activities, and demonstrate teaching and trainee mentorship excellence in our graduate and professional training programs.
