The Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center is expanding and seeks an outstanding laboratory investigator with an interest in pancreatic cancer.
This position will be on the Investigator: Scientist track at the rank of tenure-eligible Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will have an excellent publication record, providing strong evidence for independent and innovative research. Qualified candidates will hold a Ph.D. with a funded program in basic and translational research in pancreatic cancer. While research is expected to occupy most of the individual's effort, contribution to the Division's teaching activities is also expected.
Our facilities include a modern 900-bed teaching hospital, outpatient clinic, and extensive basic research facilities. The appointee will have access to our state-of-the-art core facilities and graduate students affiliated with the degree-granting programs on the Chicago and Evanston campuses. This individual will be expected to develop an extramurally funded research program in pancreatic cancer and contribute to the success of our ongoing research efforts in pancreatic cancer.
The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.
