The Biology Department at Lycoming College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor position with a starting date of August 2025. Teaching responsibilities will include a core course in Plant Science, introductory-level courses for Biology, Ecology, and Environmental Science majors and non-majors, and one or more upper-level courses in the candidate’s areas of interest. Preference given to candidates with expertise in GIS. Opportunity exists to collaborate with the Lycoming College Clean Water Institute and utilize the Biology Field Station. The successful candidate is expected to engage our diverse student population in classes as well as in an undergraduate research program. Ph.D. is strongly preferred, but ABDs in the final stages of completion are also considered. Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
