The University of Montana, Division of Biological Sciences (DBS) invites applications for a non-tenure track Instructor position in Human Biology / Anatomy & Physiology / Biomedical Sciences to begin August 2025.  

Position Details

Non Tenurable Faculty: Division of Biological Sciences (DBS)

Title: Instructor

Schedule: August 2025, Full time, Academic year position (10 months)

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience

Primary Duties: Primary duties include teaching, scholarship, and service.

Qualifications:

Minimum

• Ph.D. or D.Sc. preferably in anatomy, physiology, or related area Demonstrated excellence in teaching including both lecture and laboratory courses Strong communication skills Ability to work effectively with faculty, graduate assistants, undergraduate teaching assistants and support staff

Preferred

• Large-classroom teaching experience in the above subjects at the university level and evidence of innovation in lecture or laboratory teaching Recent research experience in one or more of the above disciplines is also viewed very favorably because opportunities exist to mentor undergraduate research
