YOUR ROLE
- Play a key role in the development of a LEAN culture.
- Lead continuous improvement in the areas of productivity, quality, operations, and cost across both Dublin sites using LEAN methodologies and tools.
- Take a lead role in process improvement projects by facilitating groups and teams.
- Identify current and future areas of value creation for the business feeding into the plant PDI Targets
- Report on HPS activities to site management and to HPS EU
- Partners with site leadership team to create HPS roadmaps to plan the implementation and development of HPS standards.
- Manage the implementation of Lean workshops and ensure that workshops actions are tracked and are driven to a timely completion.
- Optimise production line setup, document standards for all operational and setup requirements for the optimal line performance.
- Make use of the on-board technology such as HMI control systems to make the production processes more efficient.
- Be the subject matter expert on production line.
- Analysis of operational issues
- Analysis of the data found in charts, graphs and other forms of measuring information.
- Analysing existing production methods. To develop ideas to improve production processes and performance.
- Providing your team with standardised settings, with support and training on these standards.
- Implementing cost-effective changes. Increasing the speed of processes without sacrificing quality and safety.
- Monitoring performance to identify opportunities and to solve process constraints.
- Work with other functions on activities to deliver changes that improve production, costs, quality, and labour required.
- Study and analysing production methods that can be adopted to achieve the most efficient use of people, machinery, equipment and materials.
YOUR SKILLS
- A Batchelor’s degree in Engineering or in a related field
- At least three years engineering and/or operations (manufacturing, supply chain) experience
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. Prior experience in continuous improvement initiatives a plus.
- Experience in project management a plus
- Have deep understanding of LEAN concepts and continuous improvement principles is essential (i.e. 5S, SMED, OEE, Just in Time, Tact principle, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to engage with and lead teams.
- Proven ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Be flexible in the approach.
- Have a proven ability to learn rapidly
- An ability to mature, grow and develop within the company
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Influencing and convincing skills are key to success in the role.
