The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the management of a variety of facility/site projects at the Brandon facility. They will define and revise project scopes, ensure timelines are met within budget, and work with Henkel personnel at all levels to deliver projects safely while meeting the facility’s safety, infrastructure, growth, and cost saving objectives.

YOUR ROLE

  • Directly manages multiple small and large projects, in coordination with the Corp Engineering NA team where needed, and across the Brandon facility involving utilities, facilities, chemical processing equipment, material handling systems, etc.
  • Review, track, manage, and communicate program/project performance with the site leadership team.
  • Define and lead a common projects governance framework including relevant dashboards and reporting systems for all projects across the Brandon facility.
  • Support the organizational strategy by driving key transformational initiatives into clear and structured projects to deliver stated process functionality and stated business objectives.
  • Ensure programs/projects have a business case, charter, and defined benefits that support the Brandon site.
  • Serve as a ‘Change Agent’ to drive adherence to best-in-class project management fundamentals and successfully achieve project goals.
  • Aptitude to work with internal customers to understand and adjust to their requirements.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel to help all team member understand their roles in delivering projects that meet stated business objectives.

Full project life cycle ownership of projects: Successful project delivery will include full implementation from conceptual design (prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project) through initiation and deployment for assigned projects. This includes:
  • Managing the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings.
  • Understanding interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.
  • Leading and supporting process safety requirements such as: Basic and Detailed Risk Assessments, HAZOP, MOC, PSSR, LOPA, SIS, PSI, etc. o Managing project scope and changes
  • Defining the Statement of Work and Specifications for project related work packages.
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes, resolve issues/conflicts, dependencies, and critical path


YOUR SKILLS

  • B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred but will consider BS in Construction/Operations Management.
  • 5 years of experience executing projects in manufacturing environments.
  • Appropriate knowledge of process control skills, including strategy development and implementation required.
  • Project management skills: Gantt charts, timelines, accountability for self and others, budgeting, and ability to tie and track business objectives to project deliverables.
  • Familiar with all applicable Federal, State & Local building, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Proficient in use of spreadsheet, databases, 3D Modeling Software, MS Project, MS Office etc. SAP experience or a desire to learn is required.
  • Proven ability to define problems by collecting and analyzing data, establish facts. Formulate and test hypotheses and develop valid actionable conclusions that deliver projects that resolve complex manufacturing issues.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables within the context of manufacturing to help teams understand and drive issues to resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across several cross-functional teams.
  • Must be able to adjust to changes in workflow, prioritize as needed, and meet deadlines.

The salary for this role is $77,400.00 - $107,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
