YOUR ROLE
- Accountability on supporting the implementation of mechanical recycled plastics in our brands across the globe
- Lead characterization of mechanical recycled plastics for Henkel Consumer Brands prior technical qualification
- Establish standards on recycled plastic regarding quality & product safety and implement them as standard operating procedures within Henkel
- Consult the regions (Middle East, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America) and local recyclers to maximize inclusion of recycled plastics in our brands
- Lead the development of best practice guidelines, including standardized ways of working, approval processes, laboratory testing methods and technical specifications
- Lead technical audit process of new mechanical recyclers
- Focus on recycled plastics for HDPE, PP and LDPE, but also for PET for all plastic conversion technology - rigid and flexible and support upskilling of the global organization on plastic recycling
YOUR SKILLS
- Master’s degree in Material Science, Circular Economy, Process engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering or similar
- 5+ years of experience in the plastic recycling industry with experience working abroad
- Strong technical knowledge on plastic recycling technologies and plastic packaging technologies, incl. blow molding, injection molding or film extrusion - with extra focus on flexible packaging
- High seniority skills in consulting and recycling discussions with external partners and internal teams
- Ability to analyze and understand complex contexts in detail and to communicate in a way that is appropriate for the target audience and to take the initiative and high degree of flexibility
- Open to travel to recycling companies, Henkel production sites and partners globally
- Fluent English Skills
