YOUR ROLE

  • Lead the development of a global sustainable packaging strategy for Henkel Adhesive Technologies, ensuring alignment with both consumer and customer needs
  • Define a strategic roadmap outlining key focus areas, targets, and long-term ambitions
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Business Units, Marketing, Supply Chain, Purchasing) to ensure packaging solutions support broader business objectives and sustainability initiatives
  • Define sustainable packaging metrics for success and implement a tracking system, ensuring transparent communication with all involved stakeholders
  • Oversee the Sustainable Packaging Program, driving key goals and regularly reporting progress to various stakeholders, including sustainability steering committees
  • Define and roll out the process for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) fees, ensuring compliance and alignment with sustainability objectives
  • Represent Henkel Adhesive Technologies' packaging interests in internal global Henkel discussions and external sustainability initiatives
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, sustainability regulations, and evolving consumer preferences
  • Play an active role in shaping Henkel's future packaging sustainability targets


YOUR SKILLS

  • Master’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in sustainable packaging, preferably within multinational and multicultural organizations
  • Deep understanding of sustainability and circularity principles, with experience driving sustainable packaging solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and diverse regions
  • Strong strategic mindset and expertise in portfolio management, aligning packaging solutions with business objectives
  • Agile and collaborative leader, able to adapt to changing demands and foster teamwork across global teams
  • Knowledge of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) fees is a plus
  • Fluent English skills

This role can be based in one of our packaging hubs: Düsseldorf (preferred), Barcelona, or Dublin.
