YOUR ROLE
1. Maintenance Leadership & Asset Reliability:
Lead the plant’s maintenance function, ensuring the highest standards of equipment reliability and uptime.
Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Manage maintenance schedules and ensure resources are in place for planned and unplanned repairs.
Utilize data-driven approaches (e.g., CMMS) for monitoring equipment performance and optimizing maintenance strategies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant maintenance practices, including safety regulations and equipment standards.
2. Engineering & Technical Support:
Provide engineering leadership to improve plant infrastructure, processes, and systems.
Oversee plant modifications, upgrades, and new installations to support production requirements.
Lead technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures.
Ensure engineering projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet technical specifications.
3. Capital Investment & Project Management:
Lead and manage site capital investment projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
Collaborate with regional and global engineering teams to align on capital investment strategies.
Evaluate project feasibility, prioritize based on business needs, and ensure projects contribute to long-term operational goals.
Ensure compliance with project management standards, ensuring quality, safety, and environmental protection.
4. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
Work closely with production, quality, safety, and other departments to ensure that engineering and maintenance support plant operational needs.
Ensure engineering and maintenance activities align with production schedules and quality standards.
Serve as a key interface with regional and global functions, ensuring local operations align with global strategic objectives and best practices.
5. People Management & Development:
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, engineers, and support staff.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
Manage team performance, set objectives, and support career development through training and succession planning.
Ensure a safe and inclusive working environment for all staff.
6. Safety, Health & Environmental Stewardship:
Ensure all maintenance and engineering activities comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Actively support and promote plant safety initiatives, driving a culture of safety first in all engineering and maintenance operations.
Collaborate with the Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) team to ensure risk assessments and safety management systems are in place and adhered to.
Drive energy efficiency and environmental sustainability initiatives in collaboration with SHE teams.
YOUR SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and CMMS systems.
- Experience in managing capital projects, budgeting, and project execution.
- Familiarity with digitalization and Industry 4.0 technologies in maintenance and manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and with global/regional teams.
