Postdoctoral position in RNA Biology

University of California Riverside


The Karginov lab in the Department of Molecular, Cell, and Systems Biology at the University of California, Riverside is seeking an excellent postdoctoral candidate to investigate the cellular and molecular function of an RNA nuclease. Our lab uses transcriptome-wide as well as targeted approaches in molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry to study the roles of RNA-binding proteins in gene control and cell function.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, independent scientist with a Ph.D. in biology, chemistry or a related field, with prior experience in RNA biology. Good communication and organizational skills are a must, and familiarity with transcriptome-wide techniques and bioinformatics are a big plus.

Basic qualifications for this position that must be met by the date of application include: a Ph.D. or equivalent in Life Sciences or a related field, in-depth familiarity with wet-lab molecular biology techniques, and independent research experience.

Preferred qualifications for this position include: experience and knowledge of RNA and/or RBP biology research.

The current base pay range for this position is $66,737 to $80,034.
