East China Jiaotong University (ECJTU), located in Nanchang, the city of heroes, is a multidisciplinary teaching- and research-oriented institution featuring transportation with track as its core. To further promote the building of talent team, ECJTU will hold The Third International Forum of Young Scholars from November 15th to 17th, 2024. With the strategic goal of building China and Jiangxi into a country and a province with strong transportation network, the forum focuses on the positioning for school running with transportation characteristics and provides a platform for outstanding young scholars at home and abroad to showcase their talents, contribute to the development of Jiangxi and provide intellectual and talent support for the construction of a strong transportation province.

Ⅰ. Schedule

The Forum will be held from November 15th to 17th, 2024 in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province: one main forum and six sub-forums.

Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Science And Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Electronic Science And Technology, Computer Science And Technology, Information And Communication Engineering, Software Engineering, Cyberspace Security, System Science, Electronic Information, Vehicle Engineering, Material Science And Engineering, Surveying And Mapping Science And Technology, Mechanics, Environmental Science And Engineering, Architecture, Power Engineering And Engineering Thermophysics, Management Science and Engineering, Economics and other majors that can meet the needs of the development of the university.

Ⅲ. Requirements for Participants

1.Who has obtained a PhD degree from prestigious universities or institutions at home and abroad, and has the working experience of scientific research in overseas well-known universities, scientific research institutions, R & D organizations of well-known enterprises, etc.

2.Who are Outstanding scholars at home and abroad with innovative and strategic thinking and the potential to become disciplinary (academic) leaders.

Ⅳ. Registration

Eligible young scholars are welcome to scan the QR code below to register and fill in your relevant information. After reviewing the qualifications, the university send e-invitations. The registration deadline for is November 10th.

Participants are required to fill in the online registration form. The university will be responsible for accommodation and food of young talents invited to attend the conference offline, and the round-trip transportation expenses (up to RMB 13,000 for participants from Europe countries and the United States, RMB 8,000 from Asia-Pacific countries, and RMB 5,000 from China, economy class only, reimbursement for actual expense, and the excess part at participants’ own expense) will be reimbursed.

(1)Supports from Jiangxi Provincial Government:
Qualified scholars can enjoy the talent supports from Jiangxi Provincial Government and will be recommended to apply for the provincial talent programs. Scientific research project funding and subsidies will be provided to scholars being approved.

(2)Supports from Nanchang Municipal Government:
Full-time PhD who pay social security for the first time in Nanchang city will receive a living allowance of 0.1 million Yuan per person.

Giving high priority to discipline construction for over 50 years, ECJTU takes the lead in some high-level disciplines such as Transportation Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, and Civil Engineering and reaches the domestic frontier level in some research directions; the advantages and characteristics of some traditional disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Information and Communication Engineering have been consolidated and developed; the development space of some basic disciplines such as Mathematics, Chemistry, Law, Marxist Theory and Humanities and Social Sciences have been continuously broadened, and some emerging disciplines such as Materials Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Technology and Software Engineering have achieved accelerated development. Thus, the overall level of disciplines has been greatly improved, forming a complete talent training system covering undergraduate students, master students and doctoral students.
