One Postdoctoral Fellow or Visiting Scholar position in the area of renal physiology/pathophysiology and hypertension is available immediately in the Division of Nephrology & Hypertension at the University of Utah.  We work on molecular mechanisms and novel therapeutics  of hypertension and kidney disease with emphasis on (pro)renin receptor and the intrarenal renin-angiotensin system. We take integrative experimental approaches including molecular biology, cell biology, transgenic mice, system biology, and whole animal experiments. The PI is a productive and well-recognized leader in his field with 180 publications,  over 100 invited lectures, and multiple prestigious awards (including the 2016 Lewis K. Dahl Memorial Lecture and the 2024 Donald Seldin Lecture from the American Heart Association).  Additionally, the University of Utah is a Top-Tier research university with research funding exceeding $750 million in 2023. Lastly,  Salt Lake City is ranked among the best places to live by US News. Candidates with a strong background in renal or cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology or cellular and molecular biology with relevant first-author publications are welcome to apply.
