Assistant, Associate and Full Member, LFKRI
The Lindsley F. Kimball Research Institute (LFKRI) at New York Blood Center (NYBC) is soliciting applications for faculty positions at Assistant, Associate and Full Member levels in the Center for Infectious Disease and Immunopathologies (IDI).
LFKRI consists of faculty members with diverse expertise spanning basic and translational investigation into the cellular, molecular and biochemical basis of hematology and is the largest non-profit research institute of benign hematology in the world. Candidates with expertise in adaptive immune cell biology, immunotherapies, or host-pathogen interactions are encouraged to apply.
LFKRI faculty develop innovative, externally funded research programs supported by competitive research grants. LFKRI offers access to a wide variety of shared core facilities, including state-of-the-art flow cytometry, confocal and EM microscopy, GMP-compliant research spaces, internal IACUC and IRB support and access to the NYBC enterprise blood donor resources providing candidate faculty with an exciting opportunity to engage in collaborative cutting-edge research in transfusion and regenerative medicine.
Location
LFKRI is currently located along the Upper East Side in Manhattan but will be relocating to a new campus in Rye, NY. This position will report to Rye, NY beginning Spring 2025.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or a M.D., or equivalent degree, and productive prior research. The successful applicant will receive a competitive start-up package, modern research space, and will have access to the wealth of resources and core facilities available at LFKRI and neighboring world-class research universities. The successful applicant will be expected to develop and lead an outstanding extramurally funded research program and contribute to the mentoring mission of the Department.
Salary
For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $110,00.00p/year to $250,00.00p/year, and commensurate with the applicant’s skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates.
