The Department of Botany in the College of Letters & Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks applicants for as many as three tenure-track or tenured professors in the areas of evolution, systematics, and/or ecology. Candidates' research accomplishments and aims should show evidence of originality and innovation in addressing significant questions in the ecology and/or evolution of plants, algae, or fungi. We are particularly interested in candidates who employ innovative approaches to investigate fundamental and significant questions through the integration of field, experimental, theoretical, data science, and/or genomic approaches. Candidates will be expected to build a vigorous, impactful research program, to contribute through high-quality teaching, mentoring, and outreach, and to advance the college’s commitment to access, inclusion, and belonging.
