Job Details

The Department of Thoracic/Head & Neck Medical Oncology (THNMO) at MD Anderson Cancer Center invites applicants full-time academic appointment at the level of Research Assistant Professor focused on thoracic oncology research. This position offers the opportunity for professional growth and development by joining an exciting and active group of clinicians, physician-scientists, and clinical, basic science, and translational investigators. The successful candidate will closely interact with the many ongoing research programs of the department focusing on carcinogenesis and prevention, treatment, biomarker development, and other projects in support of precision therapy for thoracic cancer. The faculty member will have access to THNMO's substantial patient resources, core facilities, animal models, molecular pathology laboratories, and educational/training programs. THNMO is currently funded by a NIH Specialized Programs of Research Excellence (SPORE), and other programmatic and peer-reviewed grants that facilitate the department's translational research initiatives.

Work Location: Hybrid

This position has a target base salary of $ 80,000 to $ 100,000 and is eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
