Summary
The Cuddapah Lab at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Associate to lead an exciting research project at the intersection of neurogenetic disorders, seizures, and sleep/circadian rhythms. The laboratory is interested in understanding how neurological symptoms are modulated by sleep and circadian rhythms. We are predominantly using Drosophila as a model system but are also interested in cell and mouse models. We seek to leverage diverse perspectives to identify novel mechanisms that will eventually benefit children with neurological disorders.

Job Duties
- Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
- Evaluates and analyzes data.
- Establishes new research protocols and procedures.
- Summarizes research findings and publish results in research journals.
- Maintains laboratory operations.
- Supervise research staff.
- Works closely with principal investigator to shape research directions of the lab.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Drosophila, molecular biology, electrophysiology, in vivo imaging, optogenetics, coding, and/or omics approaches is highly desirable
