A full-time postdoctoral position is immediately available in Dr. Chen's laboratory within the Department of Neuroscience and Pharmacology at the University of Iowa. The focus of the research is to investigate the signaling mechanisms underlying the development of obesity and breast cancer.
The NIH-supported project will involve exploring the molecular mechanisms linking obesity and breast cancer progression using a combination of biochemical and molecular techniques in cultured cells, as well as xenograft and genetically engineered mouse models. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in molecular biology and biochemistry, with substantial experience in tissue culture and signal transduction research. A strong publication record and excellent references from Ph.D. research are essential. Experience in animal models is preferred, and proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
