The Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks a candidate for a tenure-track faculty position in neurobiology. The selected candidate will develop a vigorous, internationally recognized research program while making significant contributions to the department's teaching mission. The specific research area is open and could include candidates who study neuroscience at the molecular, cellular, systems or behavioral levels. We welcome applications from candidates using a range of experimental approaches and systems, including non-mammalian, invertebrate, or cell culture systems and computational approaches. The position contributes to the teaching, research, and service missions of the Department of Integrative Biology. Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels is required, as is mentoring the research of undergraduate and graduate students. Candidate will be expected to engage in scholarly research in areas of specialization leading to scholarly publications at the national and international levels. Candidate will be required to perform university and professional service as appropriate. The successful candidate will proactively contribute to, support, and advance the college's commitment to equity among all aspects of their teaching, mentoring, research, and service.

A Ph.D. in Neurobiology or related field and postdoc experience is required prior to the start of the appointment. Applicants must demonstrate excellence and productivity in scholarly research, as well as a commitment to teaching. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience with fostering or the ability to foster an inclusive and equity-centered teaching, learning, mentoring, departmental, and research environment where all can thrive.

The Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has 26 regular faculty members, 39 staff members and a large number of graduate students, drawn from multiple interdepartmental graduate programs on campus.
