The Department of Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek outstanding scientists who are addressing fundamental biological problems at a mechanistic level and whose research either complements or expands existing strengths in the department. Applications are encouraged from individuals working in all areas of biophysics, including computational biophysics, cryo-electron tomography, and single-molecule biophysics. We have state-of-the-art facilities, including the Johns Hopkins Beckman Center for Cryo-EM (https://cryoem.jhmi.edu/), and high-performance computing (https://www.arch.jhu.edu/). Qualifications

Candidates should have a PhD or MD degree and a strong publication record. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent, innovative research program, display a commitment to excellence in teaching by participating in graduate and medical student teaching, and demonstrate a commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive biomedical community.
