Multiple tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in aging/longevity, neurotoxicology, and neurodegenerative diseases are available at the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy. These positions will be part of the Coit Center for Longevity and Neurotherapeutics. Candidates are expected to use novel approaches to better understand biochemical, genetic, epigenetic, and environmental regulation of age-related diseases to promote a healthy lifespan. Additional areas of interest include modeling diseases with iPSC and/or animal models, drug discovery towards age-related diseases (e.g. Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, ALS), innovative application of artificial intelligence in aging and neurodegeneration. Candidates with research efforts on Rapamycin and other longevity therapeutics are encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will join a department with current research strengths in multiple areas of pharmacology, toxicology, medicinal chemistry, and pharmaceutics. Candidates should have an outstanding record of research accomplishments and are expected to develop an active extramurally-funded research program. Generous start-up packages and facility cores are available, along with ample collaborations through university centers such as the Southwest Environmental Health Sciences Center, the Superfund Research Program, One Health Research Initiative, Training in Environmental Toxicology of Human Disease T32, Bio5 Institute, and the Arizona Cancer Center.
