We are seeking a System Analyst to join the Systems Enabling team in Study Enabling & Execution (SE&E), part of the Drug Safety Research & Development (DSRD) line within Discovery and Early Development (D&ED). The team supports the implementation and usage of applications and systems used by DSRD for data collection.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $83,500.00 to $139,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary. ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a System Analyst to join the Systems Enabling team in Study Enabling & Execution (SE&E), part of the Drug Safety Research & Development (DSRD) line within Discovery and Early Development (D&ED). The team supports the implementation and usage of applications and systems used by DSRD for data collection.
Key aspects of the role are:
- Works in close coordination with system owners, vendors, end users, and Pfizer Digital (PD) to design, develop, implement, and maintain new systems and related technologies to achieve business goals.
- Works alongside Systems Enabling colleagues, Partner Lines, vendors, and PD to plan, develop, deploy, and sustain systems and related technologies across various US locations, ensuring that solutions align with project timelines, corporate standards, and departmental objectives.
- Collaborates with Systems Enabling colleagues and system users to suggest and put into practice modifications to processes or systems aimed at boosting productivity and making the system easier to use.
- Employs project management principles to ensure solutions meet project specifications, corporate guidelines, and departmental objectives.
- Engages in troubleshooting, maintenance, validation, change control, disaster recovery, and contingency planning for DSRD systems.
- Performs relevant responsibilities in compliance with applicable local and/or global regulatory standards (e.g. FDA GLP/GCP regulations)
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate would be mentored to ensure effective and optimal operation of DSRD systems on a day-to-day basis as the administrator for multiple DSRD systems.
Core responsibilities for the role are:
- Responsible for the integrity, administration, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning of systems throughout the systems' lifecycle
- Subject matter expert for the business processes and systems assigned
- Work with system users to suggest and apply changes to processes or systems for better productivity and usability. Learn to use Business Process Management tools and methods to document business processes, aiding in assessing changes and identifying impacts.
- Engage proactively in troubleshooting, change management, validation, disaster recovery, and contingency planning for DSRD systems, in partnership with PD colleagues.
- Engage in developing user and functional requirements while ensuring projects are managed and executed on schedule.
- Implement streamlined system solutions to enhance data collection, support, and administration.
- Assists in authoring of user acceptance test (UAT) scripts and execution.
- Authors, reviews, and ensures adherence to department SOPs pertaining to DSRD systems
- East/West coast support/coverage responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
- Degree in science or technology field
- 5+ years of relevant experience working in a GxP environment with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements
- Experience with system upgrades (major or minor)
- Knowledge of system compliance, validation processes, and support documentation
- Knowledge of the drug development process and DSRD business processes
- Knowledge of the features, function, and workflow of DSRD lines and ancillary application systems
- Excellent abilities in fostering partner relationships, effective communication, interpersonal interactions, and team building
- Efficient communication skills and ability to work with external vendors
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years using a Pfizer business critical data collection system (such as BIOVIA OneLab, Cerner Millenium, eSlide Manager, Patholytix, Pega/Windward Studio, Ponemah, Pristima, Waters Empower, or Watson, etc.)
- Demonstrated data integrity and information management experience
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Performance Qualification (PQ) testing
- Project management experience
- SharePoint experience
- Change control board membership/experience
- Ability to maintain a multi-facility system from collecting requirements to go-live
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Working at a computer for extended periods of time.
- T his position requires the entry into laboratory and/or vivarium areas as part of job responsibilities.
