The Department of Medical Education (https://www.uthsc.edu/medicine/dome/index.php) at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), College of Medicine invites applications to fill an open rank educator position. This is a full-time, non-tenure track salaried faculty position with a comprehensive benefits package and an initial 3-year appointment that is renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree with a background in neuroscience or closely a related field of study and be eligible for a faculty appointment at the level of an Assistant or Associate Professor.
Primary responsibilities will include teaching didactic lectures and neuroanatomy laboratory and other learning exercises in the disciplines of neuroscience and neuroanatomy to medical, dental and PhD students.
The candidate should be an enthusiastic educator with demonstrated ability to work productively, collegially, and effectively within a faculty-team environment. This position includes opportunities and financial support to conduct scholarly activities related to educational programs. Joint appointment in the Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology (https://www.uthsc.edu/anatomy-neurobiology/) and membership in the UTHSC Neuroscience Institute (https://www.uthsc.edu/neuroscience-institute/index.php) will be considered.
