Assistant/Associate Professor
Center for Virology and Vaccine Research (CVVR) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is seeking Assistant or Associate Professor. BIDMC is a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. The applicants should have a substantial track record of productive research with a PhD and/or MD degree. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful experience and productivity of the candidate.
The primary focus of CVVR is, but not exclusively, on immunology, virology, and vaccinology of infectious diseases. Applicants should have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with other scientists. This position will be offered with access to a generous start‐up package to complement their outstanding laboratory space, and access to state‐of‐the‐art research environment at CVVR, BIDMC, and the Harvard Medical School area in Boston. The successful candidate is expected to build and maintain a world‐class, extramurally funded research program centered around basic and translational immunology, virology, vaccinology, structural biology, systems biology, and/or immune correlates of protection. Candidates are expected to run an experimental laboratory and may also have a computational component to their research program and may hold teaching responsibilities at Harvard Medical School.
CVVR faculty have access to cutting edge research facilities including single‐cell facilities, spatial‐omics instruments, flow cytometry, animal models, and next‐generation molecular biology methodologies.
