Postdoctoral Fellow in The Kitamura Lab
The Kitamura lab at Albert Einstein College of Medicine seeks full-time postdoctoral chemical biologist, medicinal chemist, or synthetic organic chemist. Successful applicants will have a Ph.D. degree in chemical biology, chemistry, pharmacology, or have related experience in chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, and drug discovery in general. Applicants will develop and evaluate chemical probes and drug candidates for biomedical research and must be familiar with multistep chemical synthesis. Working knowledge of a broad range of chemical reactions, the ability to purify and characterize intermediates and products by chromatography, NMR and mass spectrometry is essential. Applicants must work with team members in a collaborative manner with high communication skills. Prior experience in proteomics, drug discovery, assay development, or cheminformatic and computational drug discovery will be a plus.
