The Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College
invites applications from broadly trained vertebrate physiologists for a tenure-track
position to begin Fall 2025. Appointment at the rank of assistant professor is likely, but
qualified candidates may be considered for a higher rank. Teaching responsibilities will
include an advanced course in the candidate’s area of specialty, direction of and
participation in anatomy and physiology courses for biology and pre-health students,
and teaching introductory and capstone courses in our innovative curriculum.
Qualifications: PhD in physiology or a related field; postdoctoral experience strongly
desired. Applicants should have demonstrated potential for excellence in
undergraduate teaching and mentoring and commitment to developing an active
research program engaging undergraduate students.
