Job Summary

As the innovation and drug discovery hub of SINOVAC, the United Research Institute of SINOVAC (URIS) is committed to "uniting the power of global science and promoting global health". Established in 2023, URIS focuses on unmet medical needs, integrating cutting-edge research and significant findings to develop first-class innovation in vaccines, antibodies, and cell gene therapy, accelerating the market launch of high-quality products. URIS is recruiting a Group Lead to lead its POC project groups. We invite outstanding scientists to join URIS to carry out drug discovery and early concept validation for infectious diseases, chronic diseases, and other drugs and vaccines. We hope to work with scientific leaders in basic science and translational research to develop the next generation of innovative drugs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Lead a research team of 3-5 members, develop and execute project plans, and ensure timely completion of projects.
  2. Independently design and conduct early-stage research projects on vaccines and biopharmaceuticals, ensuring scientific rigor and feasibility. Develop detailed experimental plans and supervise their implementation.
  3. Track project progress, monitor project risks, pay attention to industry trends and cutting-edge technologies, and continuously optimize project plans and strategies.
  4. Effective communication and teamwork within the group, project teams, and intra and inter-departmental functions, as well as with external stakeholders.
  5. Write project research reports, technical documents, and patent applications to protect project results and intellectual property rights.
  6. Assist in subsequent pharmaceutical and clinical development and provide technical support and scientific advice.

 Qualification and Requirements

 

  1. Ph.D degree in biology, immunology, pharmacy, chemistry, or other related fields, with a solid theoretical foundation and experimental skills.
  2. Experience independently conducting research projects, with more than 3 years of research experience in vaccines and biopharmaceuticals.
  3. Familiar with the research and development process and relevant regulation for vaccines and biopharmaceuticals, with a deep understanding of product design and concept validation.
  4. Team management and leadership skills, able to drive the efficient completion of research and development tasks.
  5. Good communication skills and teamwork, able to effectively communicate with different departments to ensure the project runs smoothly.
  6. Possess innovation and problem-solving abilities, able to propose solutions during the research and development process.
  7. Strong English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills; able to read English literature and write English research reports.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and shoulder responsibility.
