The Genome Integrity Program at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School invites applications for a TENURE-TRACK faculty position. Our Program comprises interdepartmental basic scientists dedicated to advancing our understanding of genome stability and its implications for human health. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research addresses fundamental questions in DNA replication, repair, recombination, chromosome segregation, and the cellular responses to DNA damage.

As part of our commitment to fostering cutting-edge research, the Program is establishing a state-of-the-art Genome Integrity Core Facility with a dedicated director, enhancing our ability to support high-quality, interdisciplinary research. This core facility will complement extensive campus-wide core facilities, including deep sequencing, proteomics, structural biology and Cryo-EM, genotyping, fluorescence-activated cell sorting, digital imaging/confocal microscopy, genomics/bioinformatics, transgenic/knockout mice, and mouse metabolic phenotyping.

The position offers highly competitive start-up funds, laboratory space, and salary. We seek an individual with an outstanding research track record and a commitment to contributing to a collaborative and dynamic research environment. The successful candidate will join a vibrant community of researchers committed to understanding the molecular mechanisms underpinning genome integrity and leveraging these insights to address human diseases.
