The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Portland OR, seeks applications from biomedical scientists or physician-scientists to fill a research-emphasized tenure-track faculty position, with research interests in the field of cardiovascular, neurodegenerative and age-related disease. Primary responsibility will be to develop and sustain extramurally funded research programs and participate in research training and education. Candidates with MD, MD/PhD, or PhD degrees are eligible.
The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine has a growing and collegial faculty and several dynamic research and education programs. We are supported by excellent molecular genetic laboratories and a state-of-the-art core laboratory. OHSU offers a variety of collaborative research opportunities through the Knight Cancer Institute, the Knight Cardiovascular Institute, the Vollum Institute, the Layton Alzheimer's Disease and Aging Center, and other interdisciplinary centers and institutes.
