The successful candidate will teach in the Biology core curriculum (BIO-102 Cell Biology), BIO-306 (Human Physiology), and advanced courses in their specialty, and contribute to Ursinus’ pre-health professions program. The successful candidate will also contribute to the Common Intellectual Experience first-year seminar and first year advising program. All courses at Ursinus seek to engage students in addressing the questions of our distinctive QUEST core curriculum, which connects students’ academic learning with ongoing reflection about values, obligations, ways of knowing, and public action. The successful applicant will reflect incorporation of Quest and demonstrate outstanding potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and development of a productive research program that provides opportunities for undergraduate student achievement. The successful applicant will be supported with start-up funds and will be expected to seek external funding to support their research program. Dedicated lab space will be provided, along with access to shared facilities, including a staffed vivarium in our Innovation and Discovery Center.

Requirements and Qualifications

A Ph.D. is required. Some teaching and postdoctoral experience is strongly preferred.
