Summary
The Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Research Technician to join the Laboratory of Neural Circuit Modulation (Dudok lab). The mission of the lab is to make fundamental discoveries about the inhibitory circuits that control brain activity, and to invent strategies to treat epilepsy. The candidate will join a supportive and professional team and gain experience in a variety of experimental techniques, including in vivo 2-photon microscopy, optogenetics, and video-EEG recordings.

Job Duties
- Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiments.
- Documents results of experiments.
- Collects, compiles, and analyzes data.
- Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Assists the Principal Investigator in protocol preparation and submission and other administrative tasks.
- Assists with processing budget and expense reports, and other financial documents in SAP and Concur
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in basic science or a related field.
- Vertebrate animal laboratory experience
- Strong interest in neuroscience
