JOB COMPETENCIES
Manages and monitors scientific research projects from initiation through delivery
Organizes, manages, plans and implements scientific research projects.
Creates and distributes research project work plans.
Manages the review and analysis of project milestones and deliverables.
Evaluate resulting research data and revises techniques or approaches.
Supervises staff and trainees assigned to projects.
Serves as liaison to sponsor as appropriate.
Processes and manages all compliance and regulatory issues associated with industry research collaborations and laboratory study agreements.
Participates in the development, preparation and submission of various scientific progress reports.
Creates project budgets and works with internal and external staff to ensure appropriate expenses
Education Required - Bachelor's degree in one of the natural sciences or related field.
Education preferred: Master's degree in one of the natural sciences or related field.
Experience Required - Six years experience in scientific or experimental research to include two years as a project manager. With preferred degree, four years scientific or experimental research experience to include one year as a project manager.
