The Department of Biochemistry at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center invites applications from candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent and be engaged in innovative research within organic chemistry, broadly defined. The Department is strongly research-oriented with major programs in synthetic methods, natural products, chemical biology, discovery biology, and drug discovery. We are particularly interested in strong candidates who will complement our existing strengths. UT Southwestern maintains state-of-the-art facilities and employs a faculty that includes four Nobel Laureates and sixteen members of the National Academy of Sciences. The Biochemistry Department offers a vibrant environment for research, generous start-up support, and participation in graduate-level teaching.
