Cancer Biology Post-Doctoral Research Fellow

The Department of Urology at the Henry Ford Health System is seeking a highly motivated, energetic post-doctoral research fellow to work on a novel mechanism of cancer drug resistance in a modern, state of the art working facility. This post-doctoral position is funded by the United States Federal Grants to study signal transduction mechanisms, oncogene regulation, and development of new targeted therapies using prostate, lung, and pancreatic cancer as models. The successful candidate is expected to apply biochemical and molecular biological techniques (Western blot, RT-PCR, IHC, gene expression) and gene knockout mice models to investigate the role of Tribbles 2 oncogene in the development and progression of aggressive, drug resistant cancers. Prior experience in drug testing using cell culture as well as various orthotopic, transgenic, and patient-derived xenograft models will be a plus. Applicants having extensive experience in signal transduction research and/or handling small laboratory animals for therapeutic development will be preferred. Qualified candidates, please respond by sending a comprehensive CV with names and contacts of three referees to Dr. J. Ghosh, Department of Urology, Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, Michigan, 48202. (E-mail:  jghosh1@hfhs.org)
