The School of Basic Medical Science of Central South University (CSUBMS), formerly known as “the Department of Basic Courses of Hunan Medical University”, was founded in 1956, and merged into Central South University in 2000.
As one of the pioneers of modern medicine in China,CSUBMS has three first-level disciplines in basic medicine, with doctoral programs and post-doctoral research stations in biology and forensic medicine, and is a national base for the cultivation of high-level specialized talents and scientific research in basic medicine, integrated with teaching, scientific research, and social service.
We are seeking colleagues to expand our research teams in the following areas: pathophysiology, medical ultrastructure, immunology, pathology, forensic medicine, anatomy, biomedical engineering, medical microbiology, medical parasitology, physiology, pathology, histology and embryology, reproductive genetics, stem cells and regenerative medicine.

CSUBMS is located in one of the most vibrant and fastest growing cities in China--Changsha, which is one of the newly emerging first-tier cities. Changsha has been rated as "China's Happiest City", with an average price of 13,000 yuan per square meter for new houses (data to December 2023), ranking 22nd among provincial capital cities in China, and is renowned for its excellent educational resources, medical support, convenient transportation and rich tourist attractions.
