YOUR ROLE

  • Define and steer strategy consistent with defined business plan, oversees development projects with external partners
  • Steer project portfolio of Open Innovation activities together with R&D (design team) and business responsibles
  • Ensure fulfillment of KPIs in innovation performance and quality as well as sustainability objectives
  • Define and plan resources to meet planned objectives and reports on R&D activities
  • Develop team members regarding leadership and technical/digital competences
  • Provide guidance to x-functional/x-company teams regarding (new) collaboration approaches, shapes networks and partnerships to foster successful innovations
  • Generate data and overviews to allow governance of projects and partners
  • Benchmark the operations at Henkel with relevant competitors and develops improvements for faster and stronger innovations and processes


YOUR SKILLS

  • Master´s degree, preferably with a subsequent PhD in the area of Natural or Material Science
  • At least 10 years of experience in the chemical industry or in a role of Open Innovation management within FMCG companies
  • Extensive experience in agile working and acting as a change agent
  • A passion for innovation and technology putting consumers at the center
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of sustainability goals as a corporate company
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to effectively manage x-functional and international teams and stakeholders, also remotely
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, balancing multiple priorities without compromising quality or timelines
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a keen ability to identify and seize opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Resilience, flexibility, and the courage to explore uncharted territories and unconventional solutions
    Fluent english skills
