YOUR ROLE
- Collaborate on shaping sustainability strategies for assigned technologies / categories, in alignment with Henkel Adhesive Technologies’ Sustainability Ambition 2030 and in line with Purchasing Responsible Sourcing strategies
- Identify opportunities to drive sustainable impact along the assigned chemical value chain between Henkel and relevant suppliers beyond Tier 1 - covering relevant areas of impact, such as emission reduction, safety, nature and biodiversity protection and risk mitigation
- Implement defined strategies in partnership with Categories and Adhesive Technologies business
- Lead respective lighthouse projects with suppliers towards successful completion
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the purchasing team during opportunity assessment, project execution and negotiations. Additionally, provide insights and guidance to the business on impactful practices and also addressing customer inquiries (where applicable)
- Manage stakeholder relationships up to executive levels both internally and externally.
- Drive supplier engagement, building and nurturing relationships with key suppliers
- Drive and/or support team workstreams and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives
- Actively engage and contribute to Adhesive Technologies Sustainability and Purchasing Responsible Sourcing workstreams and other relevant corporate workstreams
YOUR SKILLS
- 8 years overall professional experience in different roles, preferably strategic sourcing and sustainability. Previous experience within Henkel is an advantage
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical engineering, sustainability, environmental science, business management, or related field
- Proven experience (5 years) in sustainability management or related roles, preferably in Chemical industry
- Sound understanding of chemical value chains relevant to Henkel A technologies
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset
- Project management skills, including ability to plan, execute and evaluate sustainability initiatives
- Analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change
