YOUR ROLE

  • Conduct LCA calculations according to different methodological standards (e.g. ISO)
  • Interpret & present results according to Henkel-specific reporting format
  • Advice, support and train business partners and requestors on main impact factors and reduction potentials in line with methodological standards and towards Net Zero decisions
  • Provide subject matter expertise for the development of automation- and visualization tools and test their
    functionality with respect to predefined requirements
  • Monitor availability of new standards, norms, guidelines and their relevance to Henkel (e. g. ISO, Norm, TFS,
    WBCSD)
  • Define methodologies and data requirements according to regulations and norms and develop compliant
    Henkel-reporting formats
  • Advocat in external initiatives, associations and gremia that focus on relevant LCA topics in order to drive Henkel interests, shape reporting standards, and gather scientific insides
  • Work on ad-hoc projects and duties as required by management


YOUR SKILLS

  • Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering or a related field. Background in chemistry is advantageous
  • 5+ years of relevant work expierience
  • Know-how in LCA standards & guidances like ISO 14040/14044, ISO 14067, PEF, EPDs, industry guidances (like TFS, Catena-X, Pathfinder)
  • Skilled in performing LCA calculations and generating key performance indicators (KPIs) using LCA tools like SimaPro
  • Experience in the development of internal LCA tool solutions is a plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate LCA concepts and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve alignment on methodologies and results
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated resilience in handling high-pressure situations and adapting to rapidly changing environments
  • A strong multi-tasker-capable of planning, organizing details while communicating effectively on all levels within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence within a multi-matrix organizational structure, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive initiatives forward
  • Business Proficiency in English, German is a plus
