Available facilities for research with students include laboratory space, a wide range of standard equipment (including that required for molecular biology, histology, microscopy, hormone analysis, specimen preparation and storage, experimentation, and field work), and access to the onsite Biology Stockroom. Facilities for conducting live animal research (currently used for fish) may be available and reconfiguration for other systems is negotiable.

Reed College is a community that values cultural diversity and inclusive educational practices as essential to the excellence of our academic program. In your application materials, please address how your teaching, scholarship, mentoring, and/or community service has supported these values and how your work at Reed will support the commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion articulated in Reed College's diversity and anti-racism statements (
