Provides comprehensive project management for the execution and delivery of site projects from early design or development through lifecycle management (LCM). Assumes responsibility for a project, ensuring quality of all work is carried out and serves as a cross-functional leader, ensuring deliverables are achieved on or ahead of schedule and with quality that meets or exceeds business needs. As a Sr. Associate Project Manager, the colleague manages projects and work activities, using leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and influence for high team performance. Evaluates and defines approach for project execution and provides leadership in the development of project planning efforts. Provides day-to-day project management direction, contributes to the identification and planning of broader objectives. Responsibilities encompass problem-solving, project planning, regulatory compliance, execution and delivery, team effectiveness, risk management, and communication management. The position requires interfacing with various departments, development organizations and key business partners.

  • Manages development of project schedule, including key milestones, critical path and related interdependencies.
  • Creates and manages all associated Change Controls and actions.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization, including senior internal and/or external personnel on matters often requiring coordination between organizations
  • Supports resource forecasts and confirms appropriate team resources assigned for project support.
  • Leads and facilitates the identification of operation and project issues and risks and drives resolution through a matrix environment, effectively documenting decisions/rationale.
  • Tracks milestone achievement, decision points and prepares governance presentations to support decision making and prioritization.
  • Provides solutions to problems which requires the use of ingenuity, innovation, and creativity
  • Conducts lessons learned and after-action reviews.

  • BS in Business, Engineering or Technical related field required
  • Demonstrated 3-5 years prior experience in project/program management supporting technology transfer, production, engineering, or process development
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be able to articulate issues and solutions to the team and upper management. Able to produce high quality project reports and presentations
  • Highly motivated self-starter, able to identify what needs to be done and then reliably see this work through to successful outcomes.
  • Professional PM Certification (Project Management Professional [PMP] or equivalent) preferred

  • Ability to analyze data from detailed schedule and risk management tools
  • Interface effectively with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Able to effectively assist with problem solving


Travel may be required. Non-standard work hour support of global conference calls, 24/7 manufacturing, etc. required when needed, though not typical of weekly requirements.

Work Location Assignment: On Premise

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000.00 to $130,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
