Post-Doctoral Research Associate

A post-doctoral associate opportunity is immediately available at the University of Texas health Science Center at Tyler (UTHSCT). The research lab is interested in understanding the genetic basis of chronic inflammatory diseases in the cardiovascular system and the lung. Highly motivated researchers are welcome to join the lab and work on NIH funded research projects.       

Candidates should have background in one of the areas including cardiovascular diseases (aneurysm, atherosclerosis, and vascular calcification), pulmonary hypertension, lung fibrosis, and COPD. Expertise in molecular cell biology, molecular cloning, cell signaling analysis, RNA-seq, or non-coding RNA analysis are encouraged to apply. State-of-the art technologies in cell biology, imaging, and genetic modified animal models will be used to conduct high-impact research with strong translational relevance. 

The candidate is expected to lead research projects under the supervision of the PI and publish research findings in reputational peer-reviewed journals. Research projects will be collaborative and multi-disciplinary. PhD degree required and a record of productive research preferred.
