The Dr. Lin Liu group (https://experts.okstate.edu/lin.liu) in the Oklahoma Center for Respiratory and Infectious Diseases (https://ocrid.okstate.edu/) and the Department of Physiological Sciences at Oklahoma State University invites applications for postdoctoral research fellow and PhD student positions in the field of respiratory and infectious diseases. Dr. Liu’s research programs focus on host-pathogen interactions during respiratory infections including SARS-CoV-2, influenza virus, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis; pathogenesis of pulmonary diseases such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD); and stem cell-based therapy and lung tissue engineering.

 

The successful candidates will work in well-established BSL2/3 and ABSL2/3 facilities with a multidisciplinary team at Oklahoma State University. S/he will also have opportunities to use/learn various advanced technologies such as single-cell RNA-seq, spatial gene profiling, genome-wide CRISPR library screen and big data analysis, and develop professional career skills including presentation, networking and grant writing.
