Faculty Positions at the Chanakya School of Biosciences The School of Biosciences, Chanakya University seeks to appoint faculty in areas such as Computational Biology, Genomics, Systems Biology, Disease Biology, Synthetic Biology, Bioengineering etc. The applicant should preferably have good postdoctoral or Industrial experience and have an inclination to develop strong research programs in the areas mentioned above. The applicants should have experience and passion for teaching in the courses offered by the University.
Primary responsibilities include
- Teaching in various courses offered by the School of Biosciences. Developing strong, extramurally funded and collaborative research programs in the areas mentioned above. Establishing strong research groups including PhD students Supporting institutional research and academic programs, and participating actively in institutional activities
- Ph.D. in relevant areas of Biosciences Strong publication track-record in relevant areas of Biosciences Minimum of Three years of post-doctoral/ industrial experience Ability to write research proposals and attract extramural funding Ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences Evidence of commitment to teaching and training
Remuneration and other benefits:
Remuneration will be commensurate with expertise and experience. Selected candidates will receive seed funding (based on their research proposal) for starting their research work. Selected candidates are also eligible for other benefits such as PF, Gratuity and Insurance (Health and Life) as per the existing University policy.
