Michigan Technological University invites inquiries, applications, and nominations for the position of dean of the College of Engineering. Reporting to the provost, the dean is the chief academic and administrative officer for the college. Building upon existing institutional strengths, the dean should be a forward-thinking, innovative, and collaborative leader who provides strategic leadership to take the College to even greater heights. The dean will provide leadership to the college’s department chairs and work with other university administrators, faculty, staff, and students to promote continued excellence in research, teaching, and service.

The College of Engineering is the largest college on campus, with over 4,000 students, 170 faculty, and 110 staff. The College has nine departments delivering 48 degree programs, including 14 PhD programs. Located in Houghton, in the heart of Upper Michigan's scenic Keweenaw Peninsula, the university is just a few miles from Lake Superior. The surrounding area is ideal for enjoying outdoor activities throughout the year.
